Many disability enterprises know they need to transform. But most are stretched just staying afloat, without the expertise or capacity to take on major organisational change.
That’s where we can help. Whitebox is home to the nation’s leading experts on disability enterprise. We’ve built that expertise into the Evolve Playbook: a practical guide to what transformation actually takes and how to make it happen.
Evolve Capability brings the Playbook to life, equipping disability enterprises with practical tools, real examples and mentoring to understand where they stand, build the capability to lead change and identify where to focus next.
The Evolve Playbook is being rolled out nationally later in 2026, with support from the Centre for Inclusive Employment and the Department of Social Services. Applications for Evolve Capability will open in Q1 2027.
The goal is simple: help more organisations understand what transformation takes, and take their next step.
What’s in the Evolve Playbook
The Evolve Playbook is grounded in practical experience. Over two years, Whitebox worked alongside three disability enterprises through the Evolve Pilot, exploring what it takes to strengthen commercial performance, organisational capability and employment outcomes.

How Evolve Capability will work
Evolve Capability is a light-touch program built to support a larger number of disability enterprises through transformation.
It is expected to run over 12 months, with practical learning modules delivered throughout and supported by mentoring. For organisations who want to move faster, an intensive option will also be available.
Organisations will work through the different areas of transformation, building a clear picture of what’s involved and what it means for their own organisation.
That understanding is an important first step. For some organisations, it will also point to areas where more tailored support is needed.
From there, Evolve Capability can lead into Evolve Transformation Support, where Whitebox works alongside disability enterprises on specific challenges or areas that need deeper expertise.
