Goodsupply 2032

Embedding social enterprises in Brisbane 2032

Making the most of Brisbane 2032

GoodSupply 2032 is a sector-led collaboration established to leverage the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games to unlock more opportunities for social enterprises across Queensland and Australia.

The initiative includes QSEC, Yunus Sports Hub, Social Traders, SEFA, the English Family Foundation, and White Box Enterprises.

Together we’re working to educate social enterprises and government buyers about social procurement opportunities created by the Games, and to ensure that social enterprises stepping up to win contracts have the capability support they need to deliver on them.

What GoodSupply 2032 aims to achieve

Enable access for social enterprise suppliers to opportunities created by the Games and other major events.

Strengthen supply-readiness of social enterprises through capability building, capital, and coordinated support.

Mobilise cross-sector partnerships that support social procurement and long-term social impact.

Build a legacy of elevated demand, visibility, and ecosystem strength beyond 2032.

“As the first Games to be awarded under the International Olympic Committee’s new approach to sustainable and legacy-focused hosting, Brisbane 2032 is more than a sporting event, it’s a catalyst for economic, social, and environmental progress across the region.”

Lessons from Paris

The inspiration for GoodSupply 2032 came in part from seeing firsthand how Paris 2024 set the standard for social procurement.

In 2025, White Box travelled to France to explore how the Paris Games created real, scalable opportunities for social enterprises. What we saw confirmed that major events can be genuine catalysts for social enterprise growth.

In 2026, White Box led a delegation of Australian social enterprise leaders and funders back to France to go deeper, examining how jobs-focused social enterprises and disability enterprises are supported to operate at scale.

Case study: Le Pavé

Le Pavé started in 2018 experimenting with a pizza oven and discarded plastic. Then Paris 2024 awarded it a contract to produce 15,000 stadium seats from 100 per cent plastic waste collected in the Paris region. It built the factories, grew the team, and created employment for people from disadvantaged backgrounds to deliver on it.

“The Olympics are an occasion to show what’s possible and to build things another way. We can create big projects with circular economy and social economic principles. The Games have made it possible to attempt a new level and stimulate innovation.”

-Marius Hamelot, CEO, Le Pavé

Le Pavé is now recognised as an innovator in inclusive, circular economy manufacturing. The Games made that possible.

Working with an
Olympic legacy

Yunus Sports Hub, one of the founding members of GoodSupply 2032, has worked with the International Olympic Committee and the Organising Committees of Paris 2024 and Milano Cortina 2026 to design their social enterprise procurement program.

In France, more than 600 social enterprises won contracts worth EUR €811 million with 3.5 million of hours worked by people with significant barriers to employment.

Half of all social enterprises supported by the program were awarded a contract with Paris 2024.

Social enterprise “champions” have been created and strengthened in a wide range of sectors (e.g. clothing, plastic recycling, laundry, etc.)

Brisbane 2032 presents the same opportunity. GoodSupply 2032 exists to make sure Australian social enterprises are ready to take it.
