SUPPORT Us

We love what we do (but we’re itching to do more). We’re bold and audacious in the projects we choose, we challenge the status quo and go where others won’t. If you’re passionate about inclusive employment – we want to hear from you.

Do you believe in our mission?

Our north star is an Australia where anyone who wants a job, can access one.

The more support we have, the greater our progress – building social enterprises, seeding the change needed, proving what’s possible when people come first.

If you believe in the work we do, get in touch.

We have a proven track record

WE BUILD THE EVIDENCE

The Payment By Outcomes Trial has captured government’s attention and helped put social enterprise firmly on the table in the reform of Workforce Australia.

Learning As we Go

We evaluate and capture the outcomes and learnings of every major project we undertake.

Our social enterprises

We don’t just believe in the model and advocate for it, White Box is deep in the weeds, building these businesses from the ground up. We know firsthand the challenges these businesses face, and we advocate for them.

GORDON AND DAN: A TEAM THAT WORKS.

When Dan started at Beacon Laundry – one of Whitebox’s social enterprises – he found more than a job. He found a teammate in Gordon.

Dan developed an acquired brain injury and vision impairment after having meningitis as a baby. At Beacon, he works alongside Gordon, who provides the support Dan needs to do his job well.

Gordon helps Dan stay focused, checking that he has the correct number of products in each bundle and hasn’t missed any stains, which can be hard to spot in a fast-paced commercial laundry, especially if you’re visually impaired. And when laundry is packed into the tall cages, Dan helps Gordon reach the higher sections from his wheelchair. Together, they have found a way of working that works for them, and the laundry.

Their experience is not unusual at Beacon. Today, the Bangalow-based laundry has created more than 240 jobs for people in the region, including 178 for people with barriers to work.
